By pressing the telephone keys, the remote caller can navigate the menus prompted to him/her by the vocal server. The vocal server’s integrated DTMF decoder identifies the keys pressed by the remote caller.

You can use eDevice’s SDK to create macros in a user-friendly interpreted language to build and facilitate the interactive menus. The macro scripts (specific to each client application) specify the corresponding action to be taken in response to each DTMF tone received. For instance, a particular DTMF tone could trigger the playing of a recorded message to provide an IVR prompt or for example obtain a value over the serial port from the host device and play back the value to the remote caller.

The power and flexibility of the macro language allows to also trigger programmed actions over the serial port to the connected device or initiate an Internet connection.Once compiled the script is stored in the flash memory of the eDbox/eDmod.Macro programming enable rapid customisation of eDevice’s solution adapting it to the client’s specific applications / equipment.
