eDevice’s rf2IP solution enables the creation of a local wireless network connected to the Internet for connecting any equipment that requires remote management/control. eDevice provides the entire set of components required to build the local rf2IP wireless network and the interface to the TCP/IP network.
Each device requiring connection to the rf2IP network is equipped with an rf2IP radio node called eDnode. Each eDnode communicates with a gateway called an eDgate which handles/manages both the rf2IP radio network and the interfacing with TCP/IP network, via GPRS, PSTN, and LAN.
The rf2IP solutions meets the objectives of providing both the lowest-cost per-unit connectivity solution and the smallest form-factor for an M2M module.
With rf2IP it is now possible to connect equipment that in the past would have not been connected due to prohibitive costs per unit – fast ROI now achievable.
