- How do I check the phone line?
- The simplest way is to use a regular telephone or a V90 modem (most laptops embed one).
- With a telephone, it is possible to check to dial tone and determine if any it is necessary to dial a number to access the outside (generally 9 or 0).
- With a modem, it is more or less the same except it is not possible to "listen" to the dial tone.
