- How do I know if there is a DHCP server?
- The best solution is to contact the network administrator of the LAN you want to use.
- If there is a PC that is connected to the LAN, check the TCP/IP setting. If the PC gets its IP automatically, then a DHCP server is present.
- If there is a PC connected and no DHCP server, then the PC settings will give some useful information on the Gateway, the subnet mask and the DNS server addresses.
