- What are the main sources of problems with Ethernet?

  • DHCP servers do not always respect the DHCP spcecification (RFC xxx). As a result,  the AT#DHCPMode=2 setting is a non RFC compliant implemntation but it may help with some DHCP servers.
  • When using manual IP configuration (AT#DHCPMode=0) the most frequent source of problem is the use of an IP address that is already used. To avoid this, it is recommended ot turn off the device and ping the address you plan to use. ATTENTION: This does not garantee that the IP address is not already used.
